Plan Your Night
Know Before You Go
Everything you need before you walk up to El Squid Roe — dress code, ID rules, timing, and exactly how payment works.

Dress Code
Smart-casual. Come as you are after a beach day, but put a little effort in.
- Jeans, shorts, sundresses, collared shirts
- Clean sneakers, sandals, or boots
- Beachwear with a cover-up after sunset
- Athletic wear, gym shorts, or sweatpants
- Sports jerseys and tank tops on big nights
- Wet swimwear with no cover-up
Age & ID
El Squid Roe is 18 and over after 10 pm. Earlier in the evening it's a relaxed all-ages restaurant and bar. Think of your government photo ID or passport as your VIP clearance to the wildest party in Baja — the door checks everyone, no exceptions, and a photo of your ID on your phone won't be accepted, so bring the real thing.
What to Expect
Three floors of bars, dancing, and over-the-top fun in the heart of downtown Cabo — the wildest party in Baja since 1989.
- Three floors — each with its own energy, from open-air bar to dance floor.
- It's a slow build, then it goes off. The party peaks after 10:30 pm.
- Arrive by 11 pm to walk in easily and grab a good spot before the rush.
- Big groups, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and birthdays are our specialty.
How the Deposit Works
This is the part people get wrong, so read it carefully — it saves you trouble at the door.
- You pay a small deposit online to lock in your table or bottle service.
- That deposit is credited 100% to your tab — it's money you spend that night, not a fee.
- The remaining balance is paid at the door when you arrive.
- The online deposit is NOT the full price of your table. It reserves your spot.
Your zero-risk guarantee: every peso of your deposit comes back as credit on your tab — it's a down payment on your own night, never a fee. And if plans change, you can move your date free, anytime.
Payment
- At the door and at your table we accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard.
- The balance after your online deposit is settled when you arrive.
- Prices are quoted in US dollars; the venue can also take Mexican pesos.

Where is El Squid Roe?+
Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas 1112, in downtown Cabo San Lucas by the Marina. It's walkable from most downtown hotels, and every taxi driver knows it.
Can you drink alcohol in public in Cabo San Lucas?+
No — like the rest of Mexico, Cabo San Lucas prohibits open containers and drinking on the street, and police do enforce it. Keep the party inside the venues; El Squid Roe pours until 3 am, so there's no reason to take a drink outside.
What should you stay away from in Cabo San Lucas?+
Skip unlicensed taxis late at night, never leave your drink unattended, don't swim at unguarded beaches after dark (the undertow is real), and pass on street "deals" that sound too good. Stick to the well-lit Marina and downtown corridor — the same stretch where El Squid Roe sits — and you'll be fine.
Is Cabo San Lucas safe at night?+
Yes — the downtown and Marina tourist corridor is well-lit, busy, and well-patrolled. Inside El Squid Roe, the door checks every ID (18+ after 10 pm) and the team has run the party safely since 1989; use common sense getting home and you'll have a great night.
What time do clubs close in Cabo?+
Most clubs in Cabo San Lucas wind down around 2–3 am. El Squid Roe serves until 3 am every day of the year — it opens at 9 am for breakfast and keeps pouring right up to close.
