Dress Code
Smart-casual. Come as you are after a beach day, but put a little effort in.
- Jeans, shorts, sundresses, collared shirts
- Clean sneakers, sandals, or boots
- Beachwear with a cover-up after sunset
- Athletic wear, gym shorts, or sweatpants
- Sports jerseys and tank tops on big nights
- Wet swimwear with no cover-up
Age & ID
El Squid Roe is 18 and over after 10 pm. Earlier in the evening it's a relaxed all-ages restaurant and bar. Bring a valid government photo ID or passport — the door checks everyone, no exceptions, and a photo of your ID on your phone won't be accepted.
What to Expect
Three floors of bars, dancing, and over-the-top fun in the heart of downtown Cabo. We've been doing this since 1989.
- Three floors — each with its own energy, from open-air bar to dance floor.
- It's a slow build, then it goes off. The party peaks after 10:30 pm.
- Arrive by 11 pm to walk in easily and grab a good spot before the rush.
- Big groups, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and birthdays are our specialty.
How the Deposit Works
This is the part people get wrong, so read it carefully — it saves you trouble at the door.
- You pay a small deposit online to lock in your table or bottle service.
- That deposit is credited 100% to your tab — it's money you spend that night, not a fee.
- The remaining balance is paid at the door when you arrive.
- The online deposit is NOT the full price of your table. It reserves your spot.
Plainly: the deposit is a down payment on your own night. Every peso comes back to you as credit on your tab.
Payment
- At the door and at your table we accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard.
- The balance after your online deposit is settled when you arrive.
- Prices are quoted in US dollars; the venue can also take Mexican pesos.

- We're in the heart of downtown by the Marina — walkable from most downtown hotels.
- Taxis and rideshare drop right out front. Just say El Squid Roe; every driver knows it.
- Coming from the hotel zone or the Corridor, a taxi is the easy call.
