Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer, and Cabo San Lucas is one of the first places US travelers head to celebrate it. El Squid Roe has anchored the downtown scene since 1989 — a world-famous nightclub, bar, and restaurant with three floors of music and party energy on Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas 1112, right on the Marina in the heart of Cabo San Lucas.
What the night looks like
The long weekend pulls in a young, high-energy crowd ready to start summer the right way — graduation trips, group getaways, and friends cashing in their extra day off. Inside, DJs and live entertainment run across all three floors while the open-air levels catch the warm late-May night. It's loud, it's packed, and it sets the tone for the whole summer season in Cabo.
Why book ahead
A three-day weekend means flights and hotels book out early — and the downtown bars follow. Memorial Day weekend draws some of the heaviest foot traffic of late spring, so a reserved bottle-service table is the smart move. It guarantees your group a spot, skips the line at the door, and means you're not scrambling for space when the floor fills up.
Tables & bottle service
Reserve a bottle-service table for a dedicated spot above the crowd with service all night and the guest list. For a holiday weekend this busy at a three-story nightclub, booking early is the only way to be sure you're in the room instead of in the line.
