El Squid Roe's bar is open 10am to 2am every day and the kitchen serves 12pm to 11pm, so whether you tee off at sunrise or at 1 PM, the 19th hole is open when you walk in. Until 5pm, Happy Hour makes drinks and bottles 2-for-1 (not on holidays or special events, and never on top of another promo). Bringing the whole foursome back at night? The 2026-27 high-season tee sheet, at a glance
Golf in Los Cabos has been reshuffling. Several famous courses have gone members-only, the big oceanfront names now bundle food and drinks into the round, and grabbing a public tee time takes a little planning. Here's where the public courses sit this season — per player, in US dollars, checked against each course's own rates:

High-season rates. Club rental is extra (about $65–79 at the courses that publish it). Courses change prices by season and by where you book, so confirm when you reserve.
- Oleada Golf Links is Ernie Els' first design in Mexico: 18 links holes along a mile of Pacific coast, about 15 minutes from downtown. It's been in preview play and opens officially in November 2026.
- Cabo del Sol Golf Course is the renovated course you may remember as the Desert Course. Its fee covers the cart, range balls and water — not food and drinks.
- Gone private or limited: Cabo Real closed on September 28, 2026 and is becoming private. Quivira is only for Pueblo Bonito owners and guests. The Ocean Course is now the private Cove Club. At Palmilla only the Arroyo nine is open, so call ahead.
Which one fits your crew?
- A full day with friends, ocean views, food and drinks covered: Puerto Los Cabos includes food and drink stations on the course; Oleada and Solmar advertise it too, so confirm when you book. The fee looks steep until you count what's included.
- Just the golf, in great shape, under $300: Club Campestre San José, a local favorite with Sea of Cortez views.
- Keeping it cheap: Cabo San Lucas Country Club, with Land's End on the horizon. It doesn't publish rates, so ask when you book.
Time your tee time so you finish in daylight
Winter days are short here. A 1:00 PM start leaves you room to breathe; from 1:30 PM on, keep the pace up or you'll be putting by phone light. The sweet spot for a 19th hole that turns into a full night:
- Morning round: you're back downtown around lunch, right inside Happy Hour (until 5pm). Eat, cool off, nap, come back at night.
- Twilight round: you roll in for dinner. The kitchen runs until 11pm, and the bar until 2am.
